Dental Assistants Appreciation Week

Team London Square Dental visit to Al Amal Preschool

Team London Square Dental visited Al Amal Preschool in NE Calgary and discussed the importance of oral hygiene and dental health with the kids. RDA Medina Hassoun from London Square Dental engaged with children through visual learning & interactive activities to show the importance of dental care. Kids enjoyed learning about dental care and also discussed their oral concerns. We are thankful to Director Renata Muminhodzic for inviting us.

Dr. Tanya Khattra - General Dentist

Dr. Khattra has been professionally involved in dentistry for over ten years. She has earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree from the University of Texas Health Science Centre at San Antonio. She provides comprehensive general dentistry for the entire family.

She likes music and loves to spend time with her kids in her spare time.

Dr. Farnaz Yaghoub Pour - General Dentist

Dr. Farnaz Yaghoub Pour, known as Dr. Farnaz at London Square Dental, graduated from Shahid Beheshti in Iran. She practised dentistry for almost five years in Iran before moving to Canada, where she obtained the Certificate of National Dental Examination Board of Canada.

She got registered as a general dentist with Alberta Dental Association and College in 2016 and has been working with London Square Dental since 2018. Her goals are to care for the patient’s concerns and make the dental appointments a comfortable and pleasant experience for adults and children.

Dr. Harjeet Singh Jabbal - General Dentist

Dr. Harjeet Singh Jabbal ( Dr. Harjeet) is passionate about all the aspects of general dentistry. He did his BDS course at Desh Bhagat Dental College and got his degree of bachelor of dental surgery(BDS) from Baba Farid University Of Health Sciences, Faridkot Punjab.

He practised dentistry for more than 9 years in his own dental office in India. He is the third generation dentist in his family. Dr. Harjeet move to Canada was a decision backed by his interest in further education in the dental field. With his hard work and dedication he passed the Equivalency examination from National Dental Examination Board of Canada , he attained his dental practice license from Alberta Dental Association & College (ADA&C) in 2019.

Since then, he has been serving the Canadian community in Calgary in London Square Dental Center. Dr. Harjeet possesses a warm and friendly “chair-side” manner, and it is his inborn warmth, patience and sincerity that make the difference in his care with all ages patients. He listen to his patients all concerns and will address each of them in his treatment as he cares about patients through spending time with them, and acting as a consultant or advisor for their dental health.

Dr. Harjeet is performing all sorts of general dentistry treatments and readily attend emergencies that need immediate treatments. He loves nature . He has two beautiful kids and love to spend time with his family. He believes that “Family is the most beautiful gift to human beings by God, and we must cherish our relationships by expressing our want and love for them”.

Dr. Kevin R. Kalin

Dr. Kevin Kalin graduated from the University of Alberta School of Dentistry, obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018. His work experience includes two and half years as a resident at the Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency. Dr. Kalin is registered as a general practitioner in Alberta and has a keen interest and a large amount of experience in surgical procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, and dental implant placement, among all other general dentistry procedures. Apart from dentistry, Dr. Kalin enjoys playing hockey, biking, tennis, basketball, and hiking.

Dr. Katayoon Shojaei

Dr. Katayoon Shojaei, known as Dr. Kathy at London Square Dental, graduated from Shiraz University in Iran. She practiced dentistry for almost six years in Iran before moving to Canada. She obtained the Certificate of National Dental Examination Board of Canada with her hard work and dedication.
She got registered as a general dentist with Alberta Dental Association and College in 2018, and since then, she has been serving the Canadian community in Calgary London Square Dental.
She performs general dentistry, specifically Root Canals, extraction, and Pediatrics. Her goals are to care for the patient’s concerns and make the dental appointments a comfortable and pleasant experience for adults and children.
She likes to travel and loves to spend time with her kids in her spare time.

Dr. Kelly Brooke - Orthodontist

Dr. Kelly Brooke is a native of Calgary. He grew up in the southeast and graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School. Dr. Brooke earned technical diplomas in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from the South Alberta Institute of Technology in 1989 and 1990, respectively. In 1994, Dr. Brooke Received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology (honours) from the University of Calgary.
Dr. Brooke completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Alberta in 1998 while simultaneously qualifying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Dental Sciences (1996). Dr. Brooke completed his orthodontic specialty training in 2003, graduating from the University of Manitoba with a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Brooke is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCD) and a member in good standing with the Alberta Dental Association and College; and the Canadian and American Associations of Orthodontists.
After completing his dental training, Dr. Brooke practiced general dentistry for two years in Fort McMurray, Alberta and eighteen months in Winkler, Manitoba.
Before moving back to Calgary, Dr. Brooke worked in Fort McMurray, Alberta, for twelve years and maintained a successful orthodontic specialty practice.
Dr. Brooke trusts in evidence-based orthodontics and builds customized treatment plans. The scope of orthodontics is not limited to teeth but covers dentofacial orthopedics, alignment of the teeth, jaws, and the face as a whole entity. Dr. Brooke’s goal is to achieve a perfect balance between esthetics, function, and stability. He thinks communication, patient education, and transparency are very important right from the first visit to achieve treatment goals. Besides traditional orthodontic treatment(s), Dr. Brooke’s area of particular interest is dentofacial orthopedics & Surgical Orthodontics, Invisalign therapy, for adults, teen, and children.

Limson Seemon - Denturist

Limson is a licensed denturist in Alberta. He was a dentist specializing in replacing lost/ missing teeth. He graduated in 2003 from the Government Dental College Hospital, Madras, India, and worked many years in India and Qatar before moving to Canada.

He successfully took the Alberta College of Denturists licensing exam, speaks many languages and is a good listener. He believes that denture treatment and wearing experience should be enjoyable.

Elsie Ou - Office Manager

Elsie Ou joined our practice in 2018 and has served patients for over 15 years in the dental field. With the background of education and insurance agent, Elsie has helped a lot of patients to achieve their dental treatment goal through all these years, and she continues to provide service with passion and love.
 
She is also a Bi-lingual can help our patients with different cultural diversity. For Elsie, it’s rewarding to be part of an amazing team whose number one priority is that to create beautiful smiles.

Avleen Kaur (RDH)

Avleen is a registered dental hygienist with the CRDHA and obtained her qualifications from The Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene and Community Sciences. She previously worked as a dentist in India for six years. Avleen has extensive knowledge about dental hygiene standards and the responsibilities associated with being a dental hygienist in Alberta. She is passionate about providing customized care to her clients and educating them about effective dental practices to maintain good oral health. Avleen’s excellent communication skills enable her to alleviate her clients’ anxiety and stress. She is a motivated individual who takes initiative and employs her critical thinking skills to solve clients’ problems. Avleen is a team player who adheres to all regulations in the best interest of her clients. She is hardworking, sincere, and always willing to help her colleagues and friends. In her spare time, Avleen volunteers at community events, providing dental hygiene knowledge to children.

Dr. Michael Siarkowski - General Dentist

Dr. Michael Siarkowski achieved his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of British Columbia in 2021. He also completed his Bachelors in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Masters in Biochemical Technology from the University of British Columbia and the University of Calgary.

Dr. Siarkowski is passionate about providing his patient with friendly and well-informed dental treatment, so the patients have a better understanding of their dental health. Dr. Siarkowsky is also an excellent swimmer and has been on university swimming teams at both the University of British Columbia and the University of Calgary. In his spare time, Dr. Siarkowski enjoys swimming.

Dr. Fatemeh Saleh - General Dentist

Dr. Fatemeh Saleh, also known as Dr. Fatima, graduated with her DDS from Iran. She practiced dentistry for almost 20 years in Iran before moving to Canada.
 
Dr. Fatima obtained the DDS Certificate from the National Dental Examination Board of Canada. She is registered as a General Dentist with Alberta Dental Association and College (CDSA). Dr. Fatima also has 12 years of experience in Iran as a Periodontist and Implant specialist.
 
She is also experienced in General Dentistry treatment procedures, including Crowns, Bridges, Extractions, Root Canals, and Restorations. Dr. Fatima also does Bone Grafting, Gum Grafting, Veneers, and Cosmetic Dentistry (Leveling of Gums, Closing Gaps in teeth (Diastema).

Dr. Harsh Bhatt - General Dentist

Dr. Harsh Bhatt earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia. During his time at UBC he volunteered with the UBC Cancer Association as well as the Canadian Red Cross Foundation.

He enjoys working with patients of all ages and provides family oriented dental care. Dr. Bhatt offers nitrous sedation as an option for his patients. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, reading, watching football and gaming.

Dr. Ian D. Sun - General Dentist

Dr. Ian D. Sun earned his DMD degree from the University of British Columbia. During his time at UBC he volunteered with the UBC Heart and Stroke Foundation club, worked as a kids camp counsellor, and raced with the UBC Cycling team.

Dr. Ian enjoys educating his patients about their oral health and provides comprehensive dental treatment to patients of all ages. In his free time he enjoys biking around Calgary, trying new restaurants, and cheering for his hometown 49ers football team.

Dr. Hitasha Bahal - General Dentist

I have successfully completed my Bachelor’s of Dental Surgery from North Gujarat university, India in 2013. I have over 5 years of experience performing wide range of general dentistry treatments and handling various dental emergencies.

In 2018, I moved to Canada with a dream to continue with my career aspiration in the field of dentistry. While working as a dental assistant in multiple clinics I successfully completed the equivalency process of National Dental Examination board of Canada in 2022.

I’m passionate about providing exceptional clinical care and strongly believe in building long term relationship with my patients by helping them taking informed decisions about their oral health.

I strongly believe in upgrading myself through continued education courses and be on the top of newest techniques and technologies. When I’m not busy working on my passion for dentistry- I love to spend time with my family, enjoy exploring different places & cuisines and listening music.

Dr. Wayne Young - General Dentist

Dr. Young graduated with Distinction from the University of Alberta, earning both a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree, along with the James McCutcheon and Silver Medal awards for outstanding academic and clinical achievements. He helped open Monterey Dental Centre in 1993 and has been proudly serving the community since. He is a surgical instructor for The Institute for Dental Excellence and a director with the Alberta Health Care Steering Committee, where he makes health recommendations to government agencies to better serve the Alberta public. When he’s not practicing dentistry or educating, Dr. Young enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle and travelling the world.
