Invisalign Care Guide
Getting Started with Your Aligners
Your first set of aligners may feel tight. this is normal and means they are working. Most patients adjust within 2-3 days. Wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking anything other than water, and oral hygiene. Consistency is key to staying on track with your treatment timeline.
Daily Aligner Care Routine
- MorningRemove aligners, brush and floss your teeth, rinse aligners with cool water, reinsert.
- Before MealsRemove aligners and store in your case. Never wrap them in a napkin. they get thrown away!
- After MealsBrush and floss teeth (or rinse thoroughly if a toothbrush isn't available), then reinsert aligners.
- EveningClean aligners with a soft toothbrush and clear liquid soap. Avoid hot water. it warps the plastic.
- Switching SetsSwitch to your new aligner set at bedtime. Your teeth will adjust while you sleep.
